In-Home ABA Therapy

Expert care in the comfort of your home.

We bring evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis therapy right into your home — where routines happen, where families live, and where the skills your Care Recipient builds will actually be used.

What it means

"In-home ABA therapy" — what is that?

In-home ABA therapy takes place in your child’s natural environment — your home. At iCare Therapy, we believe therapy is most effective when it happens where real life happens. This allows our team to work on meaningful, real-world skills such as communication, daily routines, play, and behavior, while also supporting families as active partners in the process.

Your Care Team

Who will be working with your child.

Your child’s ABA team is led by a licensed North Carolina Board Certified Behavior Analyst and delivered by Registered Behavior Technicians who are trained to work with children and families respectfully, ethically, and with care.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

The clinical supervisor who completes the assessment, designs your child’s individualized treatment plan, and oversees every session.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

The therapist who works directly with your Care Recipient during sessions, under the supervision of the BCBA.

You, the Family

You are never expected to become a therapist — just an informed, supported partner in your child’s progress.

Inside a Session

What an ABA session looks like.

Sessions are structured but flexible. Therapy often looks like play, learning activities, and everyday routines. Your child may work on goals such as:

Communication

Understanding expectations

Participating in routines

Self-care skills

Emotional regulation

Social interaction

Always supported by reinforcement strategies, encouragement, and motivation.

How We Practice

Ethical, respectful, child-centered.

Ethical ABA therapy does not use punishment or force, and respects each child’s autonomy, consent, and right to choice. At iCare Therapy, services are child-centered and respectful, emphasizing choice, motivation, and positive reinforcement. Your child’s comfort, dignity, and safety are always priorities.

Autonomy & Consent

Every Care Recipient has the right to choice. We honor that in every session.

Positive Reinforcement

Therapy is built on encouragement and motivation — not pressure or punishment.

Comfort, Dignity & Safety

Your child’s wellbeing is always the priority. Always.

Honoring Who They Are

ABA is not about masking autistic traits or changing personality — it’s about adding tools.

Tracking Progress

How we measure what's working.

Progress is tracked through ongoing data collection and observation during sessions. RBTs document skill development and challenges, allowing the BCBA to make informed, thoughtful decisions about what is working and when to adjust goals. Families receive regular updates and opportunities to review progress.

01

Hours That Fit

Recommended hours vary based on your child’s individual needs, age, and goals. Your BCBA will explain their recommendation and adjust the plan as your child progresses.

02

Timeline That Fits

There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline. Some children benefit from ABA for a shorter period, while others receive services over several years.

03

Goals That Evolve

Progress is reviewed regularly, and goals evolve as your child gains new skills and independence.

04

Family-Centered Reviews

Regular check-ins so caregivers always know what’s working and where things are heading next.
